I just realized that people might get the wrong assumption from that title! NO your wrong!
Jeremy and I decided to do a 16 week challenge! We weighed in and took all of our measurements. We have 16 weeks to get into shape! As a little incentive there are prizes involved. If I win I get a $500 shopping spree! If Jeremy wins...he is still undecided what he wants. I suggested a couples massage, he only rolled his eyes! He wants a new mat for backpacking, maybe an REI shopping spree? Any suggestions?
Starting just before my Birthday was a bad idea! When someone says "Hey wanna go out to eat for your B-day," I have to say yes.
Yup, I am now 25! That now sounds old for some reason. I still feel 17, so 25 sounds old! I guess you never just magically feel older. I just feel the same....except I am married and have two kids, a mortgage, you know adult responsibilities. Weird.
I told a few people that I would post my sugar cookie recipe so click on read more and there are two recipes!
Then next weekend we went up to Fallon for a little visit. We wanted to visit our friends and go Christmas Caroling. We had fun and it was nice to just relax and play games with friends. One morning we woke up to lots of fresh snow. Carter was so excited to play in it.
We decided to bring it home with us and had about four inches at our house the next week! Yup snow in Vegas! It was awesome! Snow for a few days and then back to the nice sun shine! That was my kind of snow!
I didn't get any pictures of it when it was deep! I just took them when it first started! This is my back yard. I really wanted a picture of a palm tree with snow piled up on the leaves but I never took one. I guess I just stayed inside where it was warm!
The next week we had our Brummett family reunion......at Disneyland! It was so much fun. A little crazy with such a big group but fun! Poor Carter got sick and was vomiting one day. We put him to bed early and the next day he bounced back pretty quick although he wouldn't eat anything. He was tall enough and rode on the Matterhorn...twice! He is my little dare devil. He loved to see all of the character's that he recognized. Then Grandma was really sick! But she also got back on her feet and we were glad to have her at the park with us. What a fun trip. Disney is way better over a few days. I have never gone for three full days before. So relaxing and we saw the parades and shows! This was our first time on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster, a favorite by everyone!
Then we had our Christmas eve party at my parent's house. Christmas was so fun with the kids being able to understand and be excited. I was so giddy for them! Carter loves Christmas music and knows lots of songs.
I loved being our own little family and being able to enjoy our own traditions and the spirit of the season.
Wow! December was just a blur! We were gone nearly everyweekend. Jeremy had a lot of days off to make up for all of his overtime.
Carter Turned 3 on the 1st. Then Jeremy was gone for training for a week. I was able to fly up and meet him and we stayed through the weekend. It was so relaxing and wonderful to be together, alone! We are so greatful that Grandma and Grandpa were willing to keep both kids! When I flew in it was snowing and SO cold! The next day we went to the Denver temple. The day after that we went to the zoo. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day. We both felt strange being at the zoo with out the kids! We watched the elephants get bathed, the penguin feeding, and just wandered, enjoying the sunshine.
I can hardly believe that Carter is three years old. Wow! How time flies! We sure love having him in our family. Even if he tests our patience! Carter is such a good big brother. He loves Paige and always lets me know if she is crying. He comes running saying "Mommy, Paigey needs a nap!" He calls her Paigey. His own little nick name, so sweet. Carter is all little boy, He loves to get dirty and is obsessed with Trains, Cars, Trucks and he would be content to play for hours! He is so smart and knows the words to many songs. We sure love you Carter, Happy Birthday big boy!
Here are some pictures of Carter on all of his Birthday's.
Okay, here are the Halloween pictures. At least it is before Thanksgiving!
Getting both of them to look at the same time was not easy! And yes, I know Carter is filthy!!!
Carter and I also did a fun craft. We made playdough! It actually smells great! Here is the recipe:
