Carter has this strange obsession for "makeups!" I know from experience to keep it out of reach, I leave it on my tall chest of drawers. However, I did make the mistake of leaving a bottle of bronzer and the brush behind my bathroom mirror. I was on the computer, checking blogs, when he came running in with my brush and looking like an Indian boy! He said "look, Makeups!" He followed me to the bathroom and said "Oh no, a mess!" After I had cleaned up most of it I took a picture.
This week we had FHE, with our friends, at our house. We did a fondue dinner, and of course a fantastic pastry for dessert. Many of you may not know that my husband loves to bake pastries! This time we made a fruit tart. It was very pretty AND it tasted great! Here are some pictures. I also have a picture of the dessert Jeremy made for "Valerie Day" 07. (Every year since we have been married Jeremy dedicates a special day to celebrate me! Back away ladies he is taken!) It was a delicious flour-less chocolate cake!
I just wanted to officially welcome home our friends, Adam and Rachel! We left Vegas about the same time and came back to Vegas within a few months of each other! They moved for Adam to get his masters degree and we moved to Fallon. Since they have been back we have friends again! We have things planned and people to do them with!
I was pretty bummed when we first moved because I missed our friends and having people to play games with! (We still miss you guys and Carter still sees Greg's car around town!) We have made some friends in our ward but it is easy to feel lost because of how big the ward is. I have been to some great play groups and met lots of great people but it is harder to find couples to get together with.
When we were first married we started a FHE group. We would rotate house and have a lesson and of course a treat. That was almost four years ago! Now that we are back we have had a combined FHE and plans to start doing so regularly! That was how we became friends with the McCracken's and the Demarco's.
I am so glad that you guys are home and that we can continue to be great friends! Even though you would rather be in Colombia! Thanks for giving us things to fill up our calender while you wait. We are so excited for you to pick up your kids and can't wait to have our group FHE's be four kids busier!
WOW! Paige turned three months old on Saturday. It seems crazy that she is so big and yet it also seems like she has always been here. She is doing great! as you can see she is getting really chubby! Here are some pictures of how much she has changed every month. If you click the picture it will get bigger!
I know this is totally random, but I am random sometimes! I am terrified of being attacked by a shark. I am nervous in ANY water where I can not see clearly. We had a boat growing up and whenever something in the water would brush my leg I would totally panic. I would ski but I wanted to get up as fast as possible and I was cautious to never fall! When we go on a cruise and I look out at the ocean It gives me goose bumps to think of everything that is out there, under us, as far as the eye can see.
