We usually have to lock Carter's door at night. He then stays in bed with out complaint. If the door is open he comes out and tries everything to get out of going to bed. The other night  he had been in bed for over an hour so I went and unlocked his door before going to bed myself. I heard him start to talk when he heard his door unlock. I waited and his door slowly opened. He was standing there completely naked. I said, "what are you doing?" He replied, "I don't know." So I put his pull up and pj's back on and tucked him back in bed. He said "No, not these Jammies." I of course just said tough this is what you get. Then at 3 am I heard him screaming and pounding on his door. I went in and he  said " I am cold and wet." Well he was nude again and had of course wet his bed. I put his pj's back on and fixed his bed. Then when he got up at 7 he was down to his diaper. At least he wasn't all the way naked....right? So He had made up his mind that he did not want to wear those jammies!

I had my first week at church without Jeremy. He had to work and I braved Sacrament meeting alone. These were no available benches for me to trap Carter with. I had to brave the folding chairs. ( Our ward is so huge!) I found a spot that had people on both sides. Carter did really well until Paige became restless. As soon as I picked her up to comfort her, he decided to make a break for it. I passed Paige off to someone to go and get Carter off the podium. I was really embarrassed and wanted just leave, but I stayed the whole meeting. The wonderful family behind me kept Paige and even carried her to that car for me. I was so grateful for the help. This sweet sister said that her husband was a fireman and she had to brave sacrament meeting alone when there 6  kids were small. Wow! I don't know if I could do it every week.!

Good things:

1. Paige doesn't get up in the night, or undress herself.

2. Carter's independent mind ( I think)

3. People willing to offer a much needed headlock.

Sounds like you had an interesting Sunday! If I would have been there we would have sat with you and helped out (we're always in the folding chair section!) smilies/smiley.gif Sadie was sick so I stayed home with her and David braved church and our new calling in the nursery by himself! I want to come visit you this week or next week if that's ok, Tiffani moved so it's just me this month, lucky you! haha =) Let me know when's good for you, my schedule is pretty open! Happy Anniversary too by the way! Sounds like it was wonderful!

That is too funny! Of course I say that because it's not my kid! I have never had to brave the whole sacrament meeting by myself, but just sacrament so Greg could pass it. That's enough for me! We always end up in the foyer when that happens.

That story sounds so familiar. There were many years when my children were little and Clair was in the bishopric sitting on the stand. Hang in there.

Where was I when Carter went up to the stand? Probably out in the hall with my own crazy children. Just know that we're all thinking, yep, our children are capable of the same thing, we understand. smilies/smiley.gif And hey, at least he looks so cute!!
