Sammy!

Last week we said good bye to our sweet Sammy! She was a great companion for the kids! So patient when getting love from 2 and 4 year olds. She made Carter feel safe and would sleep with him every night. He tells everyone that she is up with Heavenly Father. Paige still goes out back and calls her name. We will miss you Sammy!

My sweet little baby is 2! Wow, how it has flown by!
We had all the family over for a little party. She is loving all her new toys! She saw the pictures on the computer and said, Happy Birthday to me! It was really fun to watch her!
Here is a picture from each of her Birthdays so far!

I tried to get some cute shots of the kids together. I only had one turn out decent! I thought they looked so sweet! Then I took one of Carter doing his thing, as of late. He is so angry lately! I don't know what I am going to do with him!
Carter gave Paige a princess purse with a flip phone and keys in it so she gave him a kisss to say thank you! Good times!

This was our theme for our murder mystery party we hosted on Saturday. We had friends, food and an overall fun evening!
Carter had a sleep over at Grandma's so we didn't have to worry about him being in the way. It is always a fun evening when you get to dress in costume and play a long to the plot of a murder. I did mention at the end that I felt a little guilty for what a bad person my character turned out to be. :) But the point it that anyone could have committed the crime. HA! Thanks guys for a fun evening with just adults!

May poor Pepi Roni rest in peace!

Losing My Mind!

Jeremy has had to work late the last few nights and I have been going crazy! For some reason the kids have been super whiny and cranky. I decided to make some banana bread tonight and the kids decided to help. It was stressful and I had to Mill some wheat and oats for this healthy recipe that I have. I decided to add a few chocolate chips so it would be healthy and yummy.
I Finally popped them into the oven with the help of two crabby kids pulling on my legs and fighting. I turned around to find...the BANANAS were still on the counter! So I pulled the bread pans back out and dumped it into the bowl and mixed in the bananas. I chocolate was warm enough that it melted and turned it all a nice dark color. So the mini loaves look pretty gross but they actually turned out good.

So my stressful disaster turned out to be not so bad.

Big News!

Well... Last week we had our ultra sound! We are having a BOY! Jeremy and I were both totally shocked but we are excited. We took the kids with and I am glad that we did. Carter at least thought it was very cool. When we left I said well you get a brother and the he slumped his shoulders and said, We didn't even get to take him out of your belly. I had to laugh. This has to be confusing for a little kid. We have some pictures, they seemed so clear I loved it. I pulled out our boy clothes and I am starting to get really excited.

I also included a picture from Halloween. My kids were not very cooperative for a picture. They were the two cutest pirates ever! :)

A Few Firsts!

Carter has had a few firsts this year.
His first day of preschool. (We have a preschool co-op/ playgroup.) He was so excited to go and the first few weeks I had to drag him to the car screaming! He picked out a cool backpack with wheels, he loves it. I must admit that I am loving preschool just as much if not more!

Last week Carter also had his first day of soccer. They did stretching, ran laps, and scored goals! Way exciting! Carter had a hard time listening for the full 50 minutes and started to wander /lay down/ visit the drinking fountain. It was fun to watch and he loved it. Paige had to get in her share of the action as well.

What fun it is to have such great kids and get to experience so many firsts!

Family pictures are always a difficult feat for us. In September there was a photographer at our family reunion. The scenery up in Idaho was pretty, the participants not so cooperative. It was nap time by the way. Eddie family reunion 2009.

Carter says!

Carter has said some things that I want to remember. Some of them funny some of them mean. (Sigh)

Mommy, you sure bought a lot of groceries!
Me: Did I?
Carter: yes, I confess it!

Carter: Mommy your fired!
Me: From being your Mom?
C: Yup
Me: Who will be your new Mom
C: Just Grandma
A few minutes later C: Now your not fired just Ratatouille was fired.

Me: Grab his arm and say you better not hit Paige
C: Rolls his eyes and says I am sick of this

Me: Get in your booster seat right now
C: Your a mean Mommy
(Isn't he a little young to be starting this?)

Me: No more running away at the store. What if a bad guy gets you?
C: Get over here so I can spank your fanny, one, two, three.

C: (In the car) I dropped my toy, get it.
Me: Once we stop, I can't now.
C: That's it you lost your privilege, no more Mommy and Daddy movies for you!

Comes into my room in the morning says can I have cereal?
Me: Yes as soon as you get dressed.
C: (rolls his eyes and dramatically flops his hands in the air) for the love!

He frequently sees something and says oh my heck, or holy cow!
Sigh! What am I to do with this crazy boy!?

Grossology!

I had the chance to hang out with my cute nieces last week. They were so good, and I was never lacking for someone to push Paige's stroller or play with her! (Shoot, as long as I only have one Carter, dealing with five was no problem!)
Our children's museum currently has a display called grossolgy. Lots of things to discover about body functions!
Sometimes it was hard to tell who had the most fun....Adults or kids?

discovery

Afterwords we were hungry so we went to eat at Sam's Club. Then we did a little shopping. I got a lot of funny looks. ( sheesh woman ever hear of birth control, was a frequent thought I am sure) Lots of people asked if they were all mine. I had kids age 7,5,3,3,1. (And 18 if you count Jared) What a fun adventure! Thanks kids!

The play group in our ward scheduled a tour at Anderson Dairy! The kids had so much fun and were way into the animals and everything. The best part comes at the end...free ice cream! I love to get out and watch the kids experience fun things!
